Funding#
- Funding for accommodations and meals at Barrier Lake Station during the event is available for a limited number of students and postdocs. We hope to be able to cover accommodations and meals for as many students and postdocs as possible, but cannot make guarantees until we have a final participant count.
- Participants are expected to pay for their own travel.
See the estimated cost here.
How to apply#
Instructions#
To participate, we ask that you submit an application. We will soon put a link to an online form. The application will include:
- A text on the direct impact of your participation either to you, or to SageMath, or to both; at least one of those is necessary. 300 words maximum.
- A text on how you plan to contribute to the community behind SageMath. 300 words maximum.
- For students and post-docs only, a referral letter from your supervisor addressing the two above issues must be sent to the workshop email, by the author.
- A brief description of your research (250 characters including spaces).
- We will also ask if you have access to support yourself.
For organizational purposes, we will also ask questions about your level of familiarity with SageMath, Git, programming in general, etc. This information is crucial for us to organize suitable events.
